Stop the extortion and murders soon, otherwise there will be an appeal to close all the shops
The District Chamber of Commerce on Thursday staged a sit-in at Randhir Verma Chowk against the deteriorating law and order in the district, poor electricity-water system and the abolition of subsidy on electricity bill after 400 units. Chamber officials took a jibe at the police-administration for the continuing criminal incidents and extortion demands from the doctors.
Also warned that if all this does not stop, then shops and establishments will be closed across the district. Said that the traders are being called for extortion, intimidation is being done. They are forced to do business under the shadow of fear. Fearing more and more criminals, well-known surgeon Dr. Sameer Kumar was forced to leave Dhanbad.
It seems that the criminals have no fear of the police. The traders demanded that the administration should provide them security, so that they can do business with certainty. Simultaneously, the criminals should be caught and sent behind bars, and speed trial should be done and severely punished.
